ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The 12th-ranked Western Michigan hockey team scored three times in the third period to pick up its first win of the season, a 4-1 victory at Alaska-Anchorage on Sunday night.
The game was deadlocked at 1-1 in the third period when Dylan Wendt finished off a pass from Hugh Larkin in front of the net for his first goal of the season at 5:37 in the final stanza. Larkin picked up his first assist of the year and Minnesota transfer Jack Perbix tallied his first assist as a Bronco after digging the puck out of the corner and passing it to Larkin.
