Big Third Period Leads Broncos to Come Back Against Notre Dame

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Western Michigan scored three goals in the third period to battle back and tie No. 15/14 Notre Dame in front of 3,342 fans at Lawson Ice Arena on Saturday night.

Giffen Molino scored 2:01 into the additional 3-on-3 overtime period but the game officially goes down as a 3-3 tie.

Down 3-0 in the third period, Michael Rebry kick-started the comeback with his third goal of the season at 5:28. Taylor Fleming gloved a high puck from Frederik Tiffels and passed it forward to Rebry. Rebry settled the puck in the right circle and beat UND goalie Cal Peterson to cut the lead to 3-1.
