GLOUCESTER, Mass. – Three student-athletes from the 2018-19 Western Michigan Hockey Team have been named American Hockey Coaches Association All-American Scholars for their achievements on the ice and in the classroom.
To garner All-American Scholar distinction, a student-athlete must have earned at least a 3.6 grade-point average during each semester or trimester of the 2018-19 academic year and participated in at least 40 percent of their team's games this past season. A small number of waivers to the 40 percent participation requirement were granted due to injury or for back-up goaltenders.
Bennett earns the prestigious honors for the second time in his career.
