KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan men's basketball head coach Clayton Bates earned his first career victory as the Broncos defeated Adrian College, 62-42 in their home opener on Monday night.
With the win Bates also became the 10th coach in Western Michigan men's basketball history to earn his first victory at home.
Every Bronco that was eligible to play scored on Monday night as the Broncos were led by sophomore center Titus Wright. Wright led the way with a career-high 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field to go along with seven rebounds.
