Baseball's Late-Inning Comeback Stopped Short by Miami

OXFORD, Ohio – The Western Michigan baseball team had a late comeback Saturday night at Miami, but ultimately fell 11-6 at Hayden Park to setup a rubber match tomorrow with the RedHawks at 1 p.m.

The Broncos fall to 14-27 overall and 7-10 in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) while RedHawks improved to 22-23 and 11-6 in the MAC.

Miami scored eight unanswered runs before the Broncos were able to get on the scoreboard. The RedHawks plated four runs in the top of the first inning that included two home runs, one being a three-run shot to center field.
