DEKALB, Ill.- Western Michigan rattled off its seventh-straight victory, defeating Northern Illinois on the road Tuesday night, 70-56. The win keeps the Broncos in a first place tie atop the Mid-American Conference West Division with Ball State with one game remaining.
The Broncos have now won eight of their last nine heading into their final regular-season matchup Friday night against rival Central Michigan. The Broncos host the Chippewas at 7 p.m. Ball State hosts Northern Illinois at the same time Friday. A WMU win and a Ball State loss would give the Broncos the MAC West title outright.
