The MAC football season kicked off this weekend with all 12 teams playing out of conference matchups. The results featured plenty of teams getting handled by Power 5 opponents, others beating up on FCS schools, and a big upset by Northern Illinois.
Buffalo (1-0)
Buffalo started the season off with a statement win on Saturday at home as the Bulls defeated Wagner 69-7. Bulls quarterback Kyle Vantrease threw for 231 yards with a touchdown while completing 15 of his 19 pass attempts. Running back Ron Cook Jr. had 14 touches and rushed for 96 yards while crossing the goal line once.
