SOUTH BEND, Ind. – In the final midweek game of the 2017 season, Western Michigan baseball fell on the road to Notre Dame 7-2 at Frank Eck Stadium Tuesday night.

The Fighting Irish, members of arguably the toughest college baseball conference in the nation (ACC), moved to 12-1 this season in nonconference home games, proving they are tough to beat on their home field. The Broncos fell to 20-27 overall with Buffalo coming in for a three-game series as both team's look to clinch a spot in the eight-team Mid-American Conference (MAC) Tournament.
