COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Western Michigan hockey's Wade Allison and Corey Schueneman have earned National Collegiate Hockey Conference Player of the Week honors for their part in sweeping No. 1 Denver over the weekend.
Allison earned NCHC Offensive Player of the Week after posting five points on four goals and one assists. In Friday's game the Philadelphia Flyers' draft pick netted a goal to tie up the game at 1-1 early in the first period to keep pace with the reigning national champions. Allison also picked up the second assist on Dawson DiPietro's game-winning goal.
