KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan senior guard Addison West has been named one of seven Semifinalists for the Outland Trophy, announced Wednesday evening.
The Outland Trophy is awarded annually to the nation's best collegiate interior lineman on offense or defense. The All-American Committee of the Football Wristers Association of America (FWAA) selected the semifinalists.
West has started every game this season, making 10 starts, with nine at guard and one at center. With West's performance, WMU has posted the MAC's top offense, averaging 31.3 points per game, 395.3 yards per game and 184 yards rushing per game.
