A year in review: WMU volleyball

Head coach Colleen Munson’s Broncos, picked in the preseason coaches’ poll to finish second in the Mid-American Conference’s West Division, finished the season with a 12-19 record and 6-10 in MAC play, placing them in fourth place in the West. With their record in conference play, the Broncos snuck in to the vMAC Volleyball Tournament in the final two weeks of the season as the eighth overall seed. After upsetting the fifth-seeded Ball State University Cardinals in the first round, their season ended with a four-set loss in the quarterfinals against the fourth-seeded Bowling Green State University Falcons.

The biggest headline of the year involved two players: senior outside hitter Alysia Baznik and junior middle blocker Sydney LeMay.
