KALAMAZOO, MI — Western Michigan football kicked off its fourth year under coach P.J. Fleck with the team's first spring practice Tuesday morning.
And the next five weeks of practice will likely be unlike any other during Fleck's tenure.
"This is the first year we get to answer questions in the spring," Fleck said. "We've got battles at a lot of positions and we're not necessarily saying 'We have to wait for that guy to get here in the summer because that job can't be filled by guys on our team.'
"We're all getting better and we're all changing our best.
