FRISCO, Texas – Not one for words, Tashia Brown is allowing her play do all of the talking this season. Even when given the league’s highest honor, the Western Kentucky senior offered about 170 words of reaction.
It’s that humility makes Lady Toppers coach Michelle Clark-Heard believe there will never be another like her.
Brown was far and away the best player in Conference USA all season. She was officially honored for that play by being named the 2018 Conference USA Player of the Year on Wednesday morning.
Brown is the third Lady Topper in four seasons to be named the conference’s Player of the Year, following in the steps of Chastity Gooch (2015) and Kendall Noble (2016).
