Western Kentucky's new football assistants are tied together by a few connections.
None is more prominent than a deep respect for coach Jeff Brohm.
Each of the four new staffers brought on board by Brohm in the last two weeks has cited his leadership and ingenuity as reasons for joining the Hilltoppers.
"There's a lot that excites everybody in the country about this offense," said Tony Levine, WKU's new tight ends coach/special teams coordinator. "I've been fortunate in my career to work for some great offensive-minded coaches. ... What Jeff's done here is cutting edge. It's innovative.
