Western Kentucky rising senior Julius Morris and former WKU track and field team members Emmanuel Dasor and Gavin Smellie are set to compete at the International Association of Athletics Federations World Championships in London beginning this weekend.
Competition is from Friday through Aug. 13 and fans will be able to watch the best athletes in the world – a record 2,038 athletes from 205 teams participate in the British capital.
“I wish them much success at the IAAF World Championships in London,” WKU track and field head coach Erik Jenkins said in a news release. “Their qualification for this meet is another testament to their talent, discipline and commitment to the sports of track and field.
