Western Kentucky women's tennis player Elpida Malamou is headed to the Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships this weekend in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
The Lady Topper was selected from the nation’s top collegiate talent and is the first WKU player to ever compete in this event.
Play will begin with a round of doubles at 11 a.m. CT from the Pepperdine campus on Saturday morning. Malamou’s opening contest will promptly follow the doubles action. The pre-qualifying round of the Women’s All-American Championships will conclude on Sunday beginning at noon.
Three straight victories in the pre-qualifying round over the weekend would advance Malamou to the qualifying round set to be played Oct.
