Western Kentucky track and field/cross-country coach Erik Jenkins will be inducted into the Kentucky Track & Cross Country Hall of Fame at the KTCCCA Awards Banquet on Jan. 2 in Lexington.
Since being named head coach of both the men’s and women’s track and field programs Jan. 1, 2008, Jenkins had led WKU to a combined 27 Conference USA and Sun Belt Conference championships and has developed a total of 57 All-America selections.
This past year, Jenkins was named the 2015 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association Southeast Region Men’s Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season and the third time in the past eight years.
