HOUSTON, Texas – WKU claimed its second outright C-USA regular season championship in three seasons as a member of the league with an 80-75 victory inside Tudor Fieldhouse against Rice on Saturday afternoon, overcoming an early eight-point deficit in the championship-clinching win.
The Lady Toppers are set to arrive back at E.A. Diddle Arena at approximately 11 a.m. (CT) on Sunday morning, and all fans are invited to celebrate with the team at Entrance 4, the closest entrance to Parking Structure 1.
The regular season title is the 12th in program history, and WKU (24-6, 16-2 C-USA) had already secured the top seed in next week’s C-USA Tournament in Birmingham, Ala.
