The Hilltoppers take a three-game winning streak – their longest of the season – into Monday’s game at FIU (6 p.m. CST, Fox College Sports, WKU PBS).
WKU (7-7 overall, 1-0 Conference USA) started the year 4-7, losing four straight games at one point. But the Toppers won their final three games of the 2016 calendar year, including their C-USA opener Saturday at Florida Atlantic.
WKU’s 69-54 win on New Year’s Eve against the Owls at FAU Arena followed home victories Dec. 21 against Ohio (67-66) and Wednesday against Austin Peay (97-92).
“Each game that we lose or win we learn from it and we take it in,” forward Anton Waters said Saturday.
