Western Kentucky coach Ray Harper thinks his players are believing in the coaching process and the work that needs to be done.
There is a problem, however.
"I think they buy in. They just don't pay attention," Harper said. "You've got to have carry-over. In other words, it's important to know who the shooters are, who's the driver. Does he want to drive left? Where does he want to get most of his buckets?"
Defensive lapses continue to plague the Hilltoppers (4-4), who host Indiana State at 2 p.m. Sunday at E.A. Diddle Arena.
Those gaps in focus are a big reason that WKU has bobbed up and down like a yo-yo early in the season.
