SCOTTSVILLE – Upperman (Tenn.) senior guard Akira Levy gave Western Kentucky University women’s basketball fans a glimpse of the future in Thursday’s 95-78 win over Bowling Green at the South Central Bank/Halton Classic on Thursday at Allen County-Scottsville.
Playing in front of WKU head coach Michelle Clark-Heard, the WKU signee who committed more than a year ago showed why she is ranked 66th overall – the 18th-ranked point guard, according to the ESPN Hoopgurlz recruiting class – by stuffing the stat cheat in leading the unbeaten Lady Bees to a victory.
Levy scored a game-high 42 points, while adding 11 assists, four rebounds and four steals.
