WKU OL commit Stidham flips to Troy

Western Kentucky commit Austin Stidham tweeted Tuesday night that he’ll instead be signing with Troy.

Stidham, a 6-foot-5, 255-pound offensive tackle from Russellville High School in Russellville, Ala., had committed to WKU last fall under former coach Jeff Brohm. The two-star prospect is now committed to coach Neal Brown’s Trojans.

Stidham’s other reported offers include Arkansas State, Georgia State, Middle Tennessee State, Southern Miss and FCS programs Jacksonville State and Mercer.

Stidham’s decommitment leaves WKU with 14 current members of its Class of 2017 in advance of National Signing Day on Feb. 1. The class now doesn’t include any offensive linemen or Alabama natives.
