Western Kentucky players and coaches knew this season they’d have targets on their backs in Conference USA play.
So far they’ve emerged from every shot unscathed.
The Lady Toppers are off to a 5-0 start in C-USA and are 14-2 overall, winners of 11 straight games. WKU is tied for first place in league play with UTEP, which also moved to 5-0 with a 62-55 home win against UTSA on Sunday.
Almost a third of the way through an 18-game league slate, the defending C-USA regular-season and tournament champion Lady Toppers have set themselves up in good position to go for a repeat.
