Western Kentucky committed four errors Sunday against Marshall and lost 10-3 at home to finish its 2016 season.
The Lady Toppers (17-30 overall, 8-13 Conference USA) were eliminated from postseason contention Saturday.
The Thundering Herd (28-25, 13-11) scored two runs in the first inning and three in the second to build a 5-1 lead. Marshall added one run each in the fourth and sixth innings and three in the seventh.
Herd center fielder Morgan Zerkle went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. WKU pitcher Hannah Parker threw a complete game, allowing all 10 runs.
