WKU hosts Detroit in final game before Christmas

Western Kentucky has been up and down so far this year, starting the season 6-5.

But now the Hilltoppers have a chance to finish non-conference season strong before Conference USA play begins.

WKU will welcome Detroit to E.A. Diddle Arena at 7 p.m. Tuesday for just the third-ever meeting between the two schools.

The Tops will then have one post-Christmas contest, a 7 p.m. home game Monday against NAIA school Brescia.

With the Brescia game a presumed victory, the chance is out there for WKU to take a two-game winning streak – and be winners of four of its last five – heading into C-USA play.
