The departure of seniors who made Western Kentucky’s offensive line a staple of strength is now opening the doors for a crop of young talent eager keep the consistency rolling under a new coaching regime.
WKU will replace three offensive linemen between the two tackles and the center positions. Rising seniors Dennis Edwards and Brandon Ray will resume duties at the guard spots and now take over the line’s leadership roles once held by four-year starter Forrest Lamp and multi-year starters Max Halpin and Darrell Williams Jr.
Taking the next step as individuals is only one of the many new steps to learn under first-year head coach Mike Sanford and new offensive line coach Geoff Dartt.
