BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — As UAB chanted, cheered and sent out a special senior in style after Saturday's win, Western Kentucky men's basketball coach Ray Harper had to sit in the middle of it for his postgame radio interview.
Both on the radio and later behind the curtain in the tunnel, Harper actively wished to play the top-seeded Blazers again in the Conference USA Tournament, which begins March 8 in Birmingham.
"We're ready," Harper said. "I think we're ready. I would've loved to have won this game, but more than that, I want to see these dudes again in two weeks in Birmingham.
