Western Kentucky ended non-conference play on a high note Tuesday with an 80-65 victory against Belmont.
Now the Lady Toppers take a 9-2 record and six-game winning streak into Conference USA play, which starts Saturday when WKU welcomes Marshall to E.A. Diddle Arena for a 2 p.m. tipoff.
Guard Kendall Noble said she and her WKU teammates are ready for the program’s second C-USA season.
The Lady Toppers swept the regular-season and tournament titles last year in the first season as C-USA members.
“We have stuff to work on, obviously, but I think we’re playing hard and we’re playing a lot better than we were at the beginning of the year,” said Noble, a redshirt junior.
