Joel Iyiegbuniwe reasons that Western Kentucky has two ways it can respond from a crushing defeat Saturday night against Louisiana Tech.
“Adversity comes in all shapes and sizes and today we had to deal with this,” the linebacker Iyiegbuniwe said. “… We’re not going to keep our heads down and sulk about it. We’re going to use it as motivation and be ready.”
The Hilltoppers were poised to beat the Bulldogs on Saturday, up 22-13 in the fourth quarter and in possession of the ball four separate times in the final 15 minutes.
The 23-22 loss was the Hilltoppers’ second straight defeat, coming one week after they lost 20-7 at Illinois.
