The Western Kentucky men’s and women’s track and field teams won four events and tallied 12 top-three finishes last weekend at the Music City Challenge in Nashville.
Nine of WKU’s 12 top-three finishes came on the track as several WKU athletes shined throughout the two-day invite on the campus of Vanderbilt.
Carrol Hardy notched a pair of top-three finishes after placing second in the women’s 200-meter dash (24.17 seconds) and third in the 60-meter dash (7.49). Peli Alzola was third in the 200 dash in a time of 24.24.
Emmanuel Dasor took the top spot in the men’s 200-meter dash after setting a facility record with a time of 21.
