WKU baseball off to hottest start in 31 years

WKU (7-1) shut down Lipscomb for a 6-0 victory Wednesday at Nick Denes Field, improving to its best record to start a season since 1985.

"They've worked really hard since the day our staff has got on board here," first-year WKU coach John Pawlowski said. "These guys have done a really good job. They've bought in to what we're trying to do, and they deserve success. I'm happy that they're having some early success in the first eight games or so, and they're having a fun time and enjoying playing the game of baseball."

The Tops have won six straight games, including their first two midweek contests of the season this week.
