NASHVILLE – It could have been worse, much worse for Western Kentucky on Monday night at Lipscomb.
The Lady Toppers ultimately didn’t fall to a now 3-10 Bisons team on a seven-game losing streak with an RPI of 340. But WKU’s 64-56 victory wasn’t exactly the pre-Christmas break exclamation mark they would have liked.
The Lady Toppers (8-2) trailed 30-26 at halftime at Allen Arena and were behind as late as the 7:47 mark of the fourth quarter, when Lipscomb led 46-45.
WKU’s top-end trio of Ivy Brown, Tashia Brown and Kendall Noble stepped up and prevented a defeat.
