Western Kentucky assistant men’s basketball coach Ben Hansbrough was arrested Saturday night on a charge of driving under the influence.
Hansbrough, 29, was processed through the Warren County Jail at 8:43 p.m. Saturday and released at 4:16 a.m. Sunday. Bond was set at $1,000. A court date hasn’t yet been set.
"We are aware of the situation and are handling it internally at this time," WKU associate director of media relations Zach Greenwell said.
Hansbrough was elevated to a full-time assistant coaching role this summer after spending the last two seasons as a support staffer at WKU.
