The Western Kentucky running back spent the first half of the Hilltoppers’ game at Florida Atlantic stuck in the WKU locker room. That was the result of a one-half suspension handed down Monday by Conference USA for his role Oct. 22 in a confrontation during the Toppers’ win against Old Dominion.
“I was just itching (to play) so much,” the redshirt senior Wales said. “I didn’t know what to do in there. It was so boring.
“But at the end of the day I’ve got to take up for what I did. I know I made a mistake and I had to learn from it.
