IRVING, Texas – After facilitating the WKU offense to a .462 weekend hitting percentage and registering 69 assists, junior Jessica Lucas was named the Conference USA Setter of the Week, announced the league office Monday. Lucas has now earned 10 C-USA Setter of the Week accolades during her volleyball career with the Lady Toppers, including five laurels through six weeks of the 2016 campaign.
With the award, Lucas is now the first student-athlete in C-USA history to win five awards of any sort in the first six weeks of a season.
On Friday night, Lucas and the Lady Toppers took down Louisiana Tech in Ruston, Louisiana, in a clean 3-0 sweep that saw the Red and White hit .
