IRVING, Texas -- Former WKU volleyball standout Rachel Engle was one of 14 recipients to earn the Jim Casteñeda Postgraduate Scholarship Award as announced by the Conference USA office Monday.
Engle recently concluded a tremendous four-year career for the Lady Toppers in 2015 as the defensive specialist helped lead WKU to a stellar 120-22 overall record with four regular season conference titles and three appearances in the NCAA Tournament during her athletic career on The Hill. As a junior, she was named the team's most improved player in 2014.
The Floyd Knobs, Indiana, native equally shined off the court as the biology major was named to the Conference USA All-Academic team in both 2014 and 2015 and took home Capital One Academic All-District honors as a junior.
