LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – Georgina Blackman’s best score of the season led the way for the WKU women’s golf team Sunday, helping the Lady Toppers finish the first day of FIU’s Pat Bradley Invitational in second place.
WKU fired a 4-over 294 team total – tying its second-best tally of the year – to complete the first round in second at the par-72, 6,288-yard Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club. Host FIU is four strokes ahead at 288 in the 14-team field.
The Lady Toppers notched three scores of 73 or better Sunday, led by the junior Blackman’s 2-under 70.
