BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU matched a program record by knocking down 13 three-pointers and scored its second-most points in the Michelle Clark-Heard era in a season-opening 96-32 victory over Alabama A&M on Friday evening inside E.A. Diddle Arena.
The Lady Toppers’ 13 three-pointers matched efforts against Lamar (Jan. 20, 1996) and Middle Tennessee (March 11, 2003) for the most in school history, and the 96 points were the most in a single game for WKU (1-0) since notching 98 against Troy on Jan. 30, 2013.
Kendall Noble (12 points, 10 rebounds) and Tashia Brown (13 points, 10 rebounds) each recorded double-doubles for WKU, and Ivy Brown finished with a game-high 20 points and nine boards.
