VERMILLION, S.D. - Coming off a buzzer-beating overtime victory at Saint Louis on Friday, WKU will head to Vermillion, S.D., to take on South Dakota for the first time in program history in the quarterfinals of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. (CT).
Trailing 76-75 with .9 seconds remaining against the Billikens, Kendall Noble found Sidnee Bopp in the left corner on the inbounds pass and the freshman buried the buzzer-beating three-pointer to cap the thrilling victory for the Lady Toppers. WKU rallied from 11 points down early in the third quarter to clinch the win.
