The Lady Toppers survived a late rally by Rice in their last time out on Thursday evening as two three-pointers in the final five seconds by Maya Hawkins missed the mark in the 52-49 victory. Tashia Brown led all scorers with 18 points and Kayla Smith returned to the starting lineup with 10 points of her own.
