BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - WKU signee Whitney Creech became the state of Kentucky's all-time leading scorer with a career-high 71 points on Tuesday evening, passing former Lady Topper Jaime Walz on the list with 4,957 points in her varsity career.
Creech led Jenkins to a 90-87 overtime victory over Paintsville on Tuesday, scoring 13 of her 71 points in the overtime period to lead the Lady Cavs to the win. Creech's 71 points are tied for the third-most in a single game in Kentucky women's basketball history and her performance is the state's first 70-point game by an individual since 1987.
