Darius Thompson says Western Kentucky’s players don’t care who gets to put the ball in the basket.

“You rarely see a team that loves to share the ball like we do,” the Hilltopper guard said Wednesday. “Anybody can score, and you look around and everybody is cheering and excited and happy for them.

That unselfish attitude was on display for WKU on Wednesday night in an 83-51 demolition of in-state rival Eastern Kentucky. The Toppers (5-2) posted 24 assists to six turnovers as they cruised to the 32-point win at E.A. Diddle Arena.

All seven of WKU’s available scholarship players scored in double-figures against the Colonels (3-4).
