BOWLING GREEN, Ky. --
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Track and Field will open its 2016 outdoor season this weekend as the Hilltoppers and Lady Tops are set to travel south to Nashville, Tennessee, to compete in Vanderbilt’s Black and Gold Invitational at the Vanderbilt Track and Field Complex.
In 2015, Carrol Hardy helped the women’s team capture the program’s eight conference championship in the last ten years as the Lady Toppers took the top spot at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships held in El Paso, Texas. The men’s team placed third.
Overall, 25 schools are set to participate this weekend, with 24 women’s teams and 19 men’s teams scheduled to compete.
