PORTLAND, Ore. – Former WKU Track and Field standout Elvyonn Bailey captured gold in the 4x400 meter relay event this past weekend at the IAAF World Indoor Championships.
Representing the United States, Bailey, who ran for the Hilltoppers from 2012-14, was part of a four-person team that finished in first place with a time of 3:02.45 seconds.
Current Hilltopper sophomore standouts Emmanuel Dasor and Julius Morris also represented WKU at the championships held at the Oregon Convention Center.
Dasor, running for his native Ghana, finished 22nd in the 400 meter dash with a time of 47.
