Western Kentucky has struggled this season, sitting at 2-6 overall and 1-3 in Conference USA, but the Hilltoppers haven’t lost three consecutive games yet, and that’s something the team will look to continue this weekend.
WKU is scheduled to host Southern Miss on Saturday in a 2:30 p.m. game at Houchens-Smith Stadium, with two games remaining on the schedule after that.
“Our team has a lot of pride. It hurt last week losing the way we did, but I’m very proud of how they’ve come back and practiced and their drive and determination,” WKU coach Tyson Helton said Thursday.
