Taylor aims to take next step in second season as NFL receiver

Taylor made his return Thursday to the town where he rewrote the Hilltopper receiving record books from 2013-16.

One year ago at this time, Taylor had just been drafted in the third round by Nashville’s NFL franchise. He was picked No. 71 overall, making him the second-highest selection ever for a WKU product behind fellow 2017 draftee Forrest Lamp (No. 38, Los Angeles Chargers).

Now Taylor enters his second year as an NFL wide receiver and is trying to establish himself as a consistent weapon for quarterback Marcus Mariota.

Taylor was a go-to weapon for WKU quarterbacks Brandon Doughty and Mike White.
