“I couldn’t sit there and watch the games, now,” Stansbury said Thursday. “I couldn’t do that. I just couldn’t do it. I had to watch scores or watch it afterwards. So that was something I’ve never had to experience.
Stansbury will coach the second-place Hilltoppers (16-11 overall, 9-5 Conference USA) on Saturday afternoon when they face first-place Old Dominion (21-6, 11-3). Stadium will carry an online broadcast at noon CST from Norfolk, Va., with WKU-PBS showing the game locally.
It’ll be the first time in three weeks that Stansbury’s been on the WKU sidelines for a game.
