The Western Kentucky coach hired new assistant coaches Ben Hansbrough, Marc Hsu and Nikita Johnson this summer. They replace Chris Cheeks, Quannas White and Shammond Williams, all of whom left the program this offseason.
Hansbrough’s hire was announced in June. He was promoted from a staff support role to replace White, who left for an assistant coaching job under his former college coach Kelvin Sampson at Houston.
Stansbury then had to make two new coaching hires after the resignations of Cheeks and Williams. Those two departures were reported in early July. Hsu and Johnson’s hires were announced July 12.
