Western Kentucky's men's basketball coaching search is moving quickly, but two coaches have emerged from the pack.
The latest information to the Daily News as of Wednesday afternoon indicates that Rick Stansbury and Dennis Felton are leading candidates for the position, which opened Thursday.
Stansbury, who led Mississippi State for 14 seasons, has most recently been an assistant at Texas A&M since 2014 and is now in the position of associate head coach. The Aggies, who edged Northern Iowa in miraculous fashion Sunday in the NCAA Tournament, play Oklahoma on Thursday in the Sweet 16 in California.
