Spurrier Jr. accepts job at Washington State

WKU football offensive assistant Steve Spurrier Jr. is leaving the program and accepting an assistant position at Washington State University, the Herald confirmed with the program on Thursday.

Spurrier Jr. was WKU's assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach under first-year head coach Mike Sanford for the 2017 season. Before that, he was an assistant at the University of Oklahoma.

Spurrier Jr. also previously served as an assistant for his father, the former University of South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier, and held other assistant positions at the collegiate and NFL levels.
